Mathematical Knowledge and Objectives

The base arithmetic specifies the number of digits that a number has and the counting system that we use when writing the number. The numbers we use in normal mathematical operations are the numbers we use in the 10 counting system. Mathematically, the binary code system is based on base arithmetic 2. In this game, we obtained 32 different impressions through 5 digits on base 2 arithmetic. (2 ^ 5 = 32) Our purpose here is related to why the letters in the alphabet are 26. But here we designed a slightly different order of alphabet to increase the degree of difficulty of the game. Thus, the codes were combined with alphabet letters and each letter was matched with a code. Besides the mathematical achievements, the game provides reasoning and problem solving skills to the students. Apart from this students have an opportunity to understand base conversion method and utilize it for the conversion of the value of alphabet letters to binary system.
