Use the Law of Syllogism to create a new argument based on the following true statements: • “If a presidential candidate receives at least 270 electoral votes, then the candidate wins the electoral college.” • “If the candidate wins the electoral college, then he or she becomes the president-elect.”
  1. Determine if these statements meet the conditions of the Law of Syllogism.
  2. Use the Law of Syllogism to write a new statement.
