Research and Collaboration

Our institute has supported the research group of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the Fluminense Federal University responsible for developing free learning objects for high schools within a national project sponsored by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology.

We also had started a collaboration with professor Gilda Palis from the Math Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. The objective is to build a set of interactive applets that explores optimization problems as a method to conduct the study of functions in calculus courses.
