Community News

  • We would like to draw your attention to the International GeoGebra Conference that will be held in Linz on August 29th - 31st. It would be great if many of you could join us to celebrate the release of GeoGebra 4.0 and share you ideas with other members of the GeoGebra community.
  • GeoGebra community members can (virtually) send applets to Mars. In a forthcoming NASA project called NASA Virtual Magnet lessons for high school students will include GeoGebra-based quests. We will create a website for the project soon in April 2011.
  • If you are a student of age 18+, apply for GeoGebra Summer of Code now. You are welcome to apply until April 8th, 2011 to do some coding for one of our projects.
  • You can nominate teachers in the US for Presidential Teaching Award (PMEST) award who work with GeoGebra in grades 7-12.

Development News

  • Translation of GeoGebra 4.0 is now underway (Spanish translation finished). We will shortly begin the translation of the manual. If you would like to help with this, please email support@geogebra.org.
  • You can now drag multiple files into the Graphics View in GeoGebra 4.0 and then export them to multiple linked webpages (or to a single webpage with tabs).
  • Inequalities are now working much better in GeoGebra 4.0.
  • GeoGebraMobile: several applets on a supported page, and soon you will be able to have Graphics View & Graphics View 2 showing.
  • We have several good students working with us as part of the pre-application process for Google Summer of Code.
  • Testing of GeoGebraCAS is underway in Austrian schools.
  • A lot of work has gone into GeoGebra in the last month, so we are hoping to have a public preview soon.
