What is the Table View?

Create a table of values for a function using the Table View of GeoGebra Graphing Calculator! With Table View you can...
  • generate a table of values in a specified range
  • show / hide the generated points in Graphics View
  • edit the function
  • edit the range of values

Instructions

1. Type into the Input Bar and press Enter. The function will be automatically labeled f(x) and displayed in the Graphics View. 
2. Open the context menu by pressing the More button on the right side of the row containing f(x).
3.Select Table of values.
4. A dialog opens where you can define Start value for x, End value for x and Step. Press OK to confirm your settings.
5.The Table View opens automatically so you can see the values immediately.
6. Go back to Algebra View, type into the Input Bar and press Enter. The function will be automatically labeled g(x) and displayed in the Graphics View.
7.Open the context menu by pressing the More button on the right side of the row containing g(x).
8.Select Table of values.
 Note: This time the dialog for defining start and end values will not show, because you already set those values in step 4. You can change the values later.
10.The Table View opens automatically so you can see the values immediately.

Options

Switch to the Table View to change the following options. Change the range of values
1.Open the context menu by pressing the More button next to x.
2.Select Edit.
3. The dialog opens where you can change Start value for x, End value for x and Step. Press OK to confirm your settings.
Show / hide points in Graphics View
1.Open the context menu by pressing the More button next to the function you want to hide the points for, e.g. f(x).
2.Select Hide points.
3. The points are now not shown in Graphics View. To show them again, open the context menu by pressing the More button and select Show points.
Edit a function
1.Open the context menu by pressing the More button next to the function you want to edit, e.g. f(x).
2.Select Edit.
3.The Algebra View opens automatically. Now you can edit the function.
Remove a column
1.Open the context menu by pressing the More button next to the function you want to remove from the Table View, e.g. f(x). 
2.Select Remove column.
3. Now the column is removed from Table View. Note: The function itself is not removed from Algebra View. You can generate the table of values again by following the instructions above.

Extend the Table View

If you don't need the Graphics View you can extend the Table View to full screen so you have more space for your input and explorations.
