Tarry point

The construction of the Tarry point P, triangle center X(98) starts from the first Brocard triangle DEF of the triangle ABC. This triangle is constructed as follows:
  • Draw the lines from all verteces to the two Brocard points of ABC (Br1 and Br2).
  • The Brocard triangle DEF is formed by intersections of combinations of two of these lines. (every time a pink and a violet one)
Now out of the verteces A, B, and C draw perpendicular lines to the extended sides of the Brocard triangle. These (red) perpendicular lines intersect in P, the Brocard point. The barycentric coordinates of this point depend on the lenghts of the sides of the triangle.

punt van Tarry

De constructie van P, driehoekscentrum X(98), het punt van - Tarry, start vanuit de eerste Brocard driehoek DEF van driehoek ABC. Deze driehoek construeer je als volgt:
  • Verbind A, B en C met de twee Brocard punten (Br1 en Br2).
  • De Brocard driehoek DEF wordt gevormd door de snijpunten van combinaties van twee van deze rechten (telkens een roze en een paarse).
Teken nu vanuit de hoekpunten A, B en C loodrechten op de verlengde zijden van de Brocard triangle. Deze (rode) loodrechten snijden elkaar in P, het punt van Brocard. De barycentrische coördinaten van dit punt worden bepaald door de lengtes van de zijden van de driehoek.
