User talk:Nikenuke
Moved these commments to this talk page, 11/13/09:
Tweaked the Lissajous app; larger, added equations.
I should note that I use Firefox (versions 2 and 3 on various machines), and things look good here. If you're using other browsers, that may not be the case.
Added a new sim for showing the Helmert PDFs, for biased estimation of standard deviations. This is based on some work I've done on a Wikipedia article but haven't gotten around to updating that article yet.Nikenuke 22:14, 18 September 2009 (CEST)
Added a sim of projectile motion. May do a few tweaks to this, but I wanted to get this much up first. Also made a directory with lots of PDF files with analysis of projectile motion; most of this is beyond high school, but some of it may be useful. This material is from a binder I assembled using MathCad a few years ago. I may also add a tilted-surface version of the sim and its PDF. Nikenuke 02:18, 23 September 2009 (CEST)
Added sim of projectile motion with targeting, including the "parabola of safety." Have also tweaked the earlier one; still need a way to make the limit of a slider a variable. Nikenuke 23:17, 24 September 2009 (CEST)
Added app showing forces acting on an object on an inclined plane. Nikenuke 21:10, 1 October 2009 (CEST)
Added app showing simple vector addition by components. Updated to put vector angles in degrees. Nikenuke 22:06, 8 October 2009 (CEST)
Added applet showing a ball projected from a rolling cart; and a PDF with the math. Nikenuke 22:07, 26 October 2009 (CET)
Added app showing motion of object thru an idealized tunnel in an idealized Earth. It executes simple harmonic motion with a constant period regardless of where the tunnel starts and ends. Also shown is a LEO satellite, which has (about) the same orbital period as the tunnel object. Will produce a PDF soon with the math for this. Nikenuke 19:59, 4 November 2009 (CET)
Modified tunnel to add slider for initial position of object. Nikenuke 20:54, 18 November 2009 (CET)
Added applet related to "my" Wikipedia article on Experimental Uncertainty Analysis Nikenuke 01:50, 18 December 2009 (CET)
Added applet with some graphics for limit of dectection; very basic.Nikenuke 22:00, 13 January 2010 (CET)
