Areas in Squares
Areas in Squares
Each applet shows four squares. There are two differently colored areas in each square. By dragging one indicated point, you try to make the two colors equal in area. The challenge is to calculate the exact length of an indicated segment when the areas are exactly equal. Operations with radicals are required. Ken Frank
