Construct a Parallelogram

Can you construct a parallelogram with NO toolbar, only using the ALGEBRA INPUT LINE and what you know about vectors?

Some useful commands and algebra hints...

Entering u=(4,5) will draw a vector u whose components are [4,5]
Entering U=(4,5) will draw a point whose coordinates are (4,5)

vector[A,B] will draw a vector from A to B
segment[A,B] will drag a segment between A and B

If w is a vector and A is a point, then A+w is a NEW point formed by taking A and translating it by vector w.

If w and v are vectors, w+v is a new vector which is the sum of w and v. You can also use w-v or v-w.

Good Luck! Of course, your construction should pass the drag test!

Sorry, the GeoGebra Applet could not be started. Please make sure that Java 1.4.2 (or later) is installed and active in your browser (Click here to install Java now)

Go back and use vectors to construct two points that divide one of the diagonals into three congruent segments.
