Perpendicular bisector construction
1) Place the midpoint on each segment of the triangle by using the midpoint tool under the point pull down.
2) Construct the perpendicular bisector of each segment by useing the perpendicular line under the line pull down. You must first choose the midpoint of the segment and then the segment.
3) Place a point at the intersection of the three perpendicular bisectors.
4) Construct the circle with the center at the perpendicular bisector intersection through one of the verticies of the triangle.
Drag the verticies of the triangle around to answer the questions on the corresponding worksheet.
